About

The human workforce developed over hundreds of years.
AI is just getting started.

Every year, the global economy spends trillions maintaining the efficiency of the human workforce. Initiatives like healthcare, training, sick leave, holiday pay, and even criminal rehabilitation are all part of that. AI is going to need the same control structures. We're the ones who will take you there.

The Story

Every technology wave outpaces
the controls built to govern it.

“I spent a decade helping organisations recover from the consequences of rushed technology adoption. AI is the biggest wave yet, and the control structures are further behind than ever.”

In the last twenty years, we've gone from running bare metal mainframe servers through to coordinating swarms of microservices. An engineer today has very little in common with the engineer of twenty years ago, and each layer of technology abstraction we add pushes the workforce further away from understanding the whole picture. That pattern accelerated delivery and unlocked commercial opportunities, but it also created a fragile ecosystem lacking in niche expertise. AI is the furthest abstraction yet, and the risks have never been greater.

My career has tracked technology closely throughout all this evolution. It started in basic system administration and network management, then quickly moved into software engineering. Once I got hands-on with code and realised how easy it was to build insecure systems, I pivoted again into cybersecurity just as the NotPetya ransomware attack was hitting global headlines. I was swept away for the better half of the next decade building incident response and forensic service lines, helping the global economy deal with the consequences of rushed technology adoptions and immature control structures.

When AI reached its breakthrough moment, I sensed a familiar pattern recurring. So I founded AnalystEngine. Because the control structures for AI don't yet exist and need accelerating.

Approach

How we work.

Every recommendation tested in production

Every recommendation comes from hands-on experience building, breaking, and securing real systems, not from a textbook or a slide deck.

Demonstrate before we propose

Case studies, working prototypes, and measurable outcomes. If it can't be demonstrated, it doesn't get proposed.

Beyond surface-level AI hype

Real implementation experience with what works, what doesn't, and what actually moves the needle for your organisation. Grounded in engineering, not speculation.

Make you more capable, not more dependent

Technical depth delivered in plain language. Every engagement is designed to transfer knowledge to your team, so you're stronger after we leave.

Work with practitioners, not generalists.

Whether you're a consultancy building AI capability or an organisation navigating AI at the cybersecurity intersection, let's talk.
